1B1 collaborates with the Universities of Stavanger, Agder and Bergen (The Grieg Academy), secondary schools and public culture schools. The results are already remarkable, and the 1B1 Academy is noticed far beyond regional and national borders.

1B1 has entered mutually binding cooperation agreements with universities, high schools and public culture schools, which means that the ensemble contributes music education and talent development for students from 11 years of age and upwards.

Through the 1B1 Academy, 1B1 functions as a partner to, and supplement of, the existing educational institutions.

Another focus of the 1B1 Academy is masterclasses, workshops and seminars with key figures from the relevant musical genres.
